Silica Sand: Production of High-Purity Quartz (HPQ) for Semiconductors and

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree graduate in BS Metallurgical Engineering,
Materials Science and Engineering, or related field.
- Preferably
with experience in laboratory work related to mineral processing,
geochemistry, hydrometallurgy, or analytical characterization.
- Knowledge in
unit operations involved in beneficiation processes (e.g., crushing,
grinding, sieving, flotation, magnetic separation, leaching, precipitation,
solvent extraction, etc.) is an advantage.
- Familiarity
with analytical laboratory equipment (e.g., XRF, XRD, ICP-OES, AAS,
SEM-EDS, LPSA, UV-Vis, and other wet chemical analysis) is an
advantage.
- Able to
perform sample preparation, experimental runs, data recording, and
technical reporting with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated
ability in technical writing, documentation, and preparation of figures,
tables, and research reports.
- Excellent
organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Willing to
work in a research environment, learn new techniques, and collaborate
effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Can commit to
the project duration and timeline.
- Preferably
with research experience (undergraduate thesis, internship, or project
involvement), but fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Facilitate
the implementation and monitoring of experimental activities in accordance
with the approved project work plan;
- Assist in
supervising postgraduate, graduate, and undergraduate students involved in
project-related experiments;
- Assist in the
analysis, validation, and interpretation of experimental and analytical
data;
- Assist in the
preparation and writing of technical, progress, and terminal reports
required by the funding agency and the University;
- Contribute to
the preparation of manuscripts for publication in SCI- or Scopus-indexed
journals and conference proceedings;
- Prepare and
consolidate quarterly progress reports and other documentation required for
project monitoring and evaluation.
