Qualifications:
- Bachelor of
Science in Chemistry or a related field (e.g., Biochemistry, Chemical
Engineering, Materials Science).
- Strong
understanding of basic laboratory techniques and safety
protocols.
- Proficient in
basic data documentation and report writing.
- Familiarity
with research methodologies and scientific literature review.
- Strong
attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good written
and verbal communication skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the
design, setup, and execution of laboratory and field
experiments.
- Conduct
routine laboratory procedures following established protocols and safety
standards.
- Prepare
reagents, samples, and laboratory materials as required for research
activities.
- Collect,
record, and organize experimental data accurately and
systematically.
- Perform
basic data analysis and assist in interpreting research
findings.
- Maintain
laboratory equipment, ensure proper calibration, and report any
malfunctions.
- Ensure
compliance with laboratory safety guidelines and proper waste disposal
procedures.
- Assist in
literature reviews and preparation of research reports, presentations, and
manuscripts.
- Support
inventory management of laboratory supplies and chemicals.
- Collaborate
with researchers and supervisors to meet project timelines and
objectives.
