On December 1, 2025, the Mindanao State University - Iligan Institute of Technology (²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ) National Multi-purpose Cooperative (NMPC) advanced its strategic partnership with ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ through a turnover and ribbon-cutting ceremony of the 3rd and 4th newly-renovated floors of its building in Tibanga, Iligan City.

Present in the ceremony were ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ NMPC’s Vice Chairperson Emmanuel C. Villanueva and Director Judith  A. Magnetico, ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ’s Chancellor Alizedney M. Ditucalan, Vice Chancellors Prof. Ephrime B. Metillo, Prof. Pamela F. Resurreccion, Prof. Rohane M. Derogongan, and Atty. Yaslani B. Bantuas, various responsibility center heads, and staff members.

The physical space will house certain offices for OVCRE and OVCPA, a strategic move given that it is adjoined to the KTTO office. The facility is also expected to enhance research and enterprise initiatives in the University and foster future collaborations with NMPC.

Vice Chairperson Villanueva, in his turnover speech, emphasized that the donated floors are among the cooperative’s goals to build collaborative partnerships that empower research, address societal issues, and advance learning. In his words, “By providing a dedicated space, we aim to empower ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ’s researchers and enterprise workers with a conducive environment where they can thrive, collaborate, and make groundbreaking discoveries.”

In his acceptance message, Chancellor Ditucalan expressed his gratitude and acknowledged the cooperative’s generous donation to the University, citing that the turnover ceremony is a “physical manifestation of an inseparable relationship between the cooperative and ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ.” The Chancellor also mentioned that the cooperative’s support began with the funding of the rehabilitation of five rooms in CEBA (Read: 5 newly-refurbished CEBA rooms inaugurated).
